B&J overdrive unit
« on: November 09, 2013, 08:05:02 PM »
Is anyone familiar with the B&J overdrive.  I bought one for a C6 quite a while ago and am hopeful of using it in a project this winter.  It has a cable shifter and appears to be a about a 30% od.  Gear housing is divorced from the transmission so I don't know if it uses atf or gear oil.  Any help or suggestions appreciated.  Some sort of technical info or owners manual would be great.

Thanks

This might help:  http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=816579

Maybe do some serious 'Net searches on variations of the name.

Btw, I've always thought that today's big name B&J Racing Transmission co. was/is related to the now over 50 year old overdrive unit you have...maybe, maybe not. A call or e-mail may be in order:  http://www.bandjtransmission.com/
