Tire recommendations for my '66 Galaxie

I am needing new tires for my Galaxie (they are ten years old) And am needing help on what is and is not made in the USA anymore. I have BFG TA radials on it now but TireRack.com says they could be either made in Mexico or the US. TireRack also says Cooper Cobra tires are made in Mexico. I bought some Mastercraft Avenger tires last year and they were made in the US. My tire shop has to order the tires so when I ask about country of origin they say they probably are made in the USA but no guarantees. Anyone bought tires for their classic this year? It's sad that brands I used to not give a second thought about where they were made, I now have to question them all. The size I am looking at are 225/70/15 and 275/60/15. Thanks!

To be honest, I just like the BFG for looks and performance.  Google says: BFGoodrich Radial T/A®, Produced at the Tuscaloosa, Alabama plant. This facility has manufactured passenger-car and light‑truck radial tires for decades and produced the first BFGoodrich Radial T/A.

Coopers are well loved, but they always just look off to me.  Google says: Cooper Tires are primarily made in the United States, but not all models are built domestically — some are also manufactured in China and other countrie

Mastercraft has decent reviews on Amazon, their website says "headquartered in Ohio", but Google says USA made in Ohio, Mississippi, and Arkansas

I have to say I don't love the Mastercraft name, sounds like a bass boat, LOL but if decent and keeps some money in the US might be worth it.  I actually have a temp set of unknown brand on my F100 now that are "Revengers" LOL, only because they came on the wheel I bought used.

I've run Cooper Cobras on my Galaxie for the 12 years I've had it. They're a good tire for the money. I think BFGs are over-priced nostolgia tires, just my opinion. BTW, Mastercraft tires are made by Cooper.

I've switched to Cooper Cobras from Radial T/As for a few reasons. #1 price. Coopers are on average 25-30% cheaper than the T/As. A big consideration to me as I have several cars that are date coding out. 10/11 years is my cutoff date. #2 Coopers have a higher speed rating than the T/As 118 to 112 mph [That doesn't mean much to me as I don't race anymore] and as an added bonus the Coopers have a longer tread life rating but that also means very little to me as I will never wear out a set of tires on any of my collectable cars. #3 Availability Coopers seem to be a bit more widely available than T/As and since I still need 14" tires and two sizes for my Fairlanes [215/70R14 front and 225/70R14 rear] the Coopers seen to have better availability of 14" tires. Since you mention a Galaxie I've switched from Radial T/As to Coopers using 245/60R 15s on 8.5"x15" wheel [front] and 275/60 15s on a 10"x15" wheel on the rear of my 66 Galaxie. Fills the large wheel wells up nicely.
