When a sleeve is installed....
« on: February 08, 2025, 02:35:04 PM »
Hello, when a sleeve is installed and the top is trimmed to the deck surface, can this be done retaining the original deck height? Or is sleeve cut down before hand to be flush after setting in the step at the bottom of the bored hole? Thanks

Drive the sleeve in, then make a pass over the deck.

If the block has never been decked before, you would want it decked any way.  I’ve seen them out .020” from end to end.

x2 - for a dry sleeve.

Bit different process for a wet sleeve, but we don't need to discuss that here unless you are really curious.
