Nice photos and some cool vehicles. Just wondering if Mustangs, Fairlanes, Camaros, Ford PU trucks, Tri 5 Chevys, T birds etc were sold new in Australia, or were they imported as used vehicles from North America? And if imported, is conversion to RHD mandatory or not? I see some of the cars are LHD , so assuming that those were shipped from the USA or Canada. I was friends with a couple of guys from New Zealand that were in our Mustang Club in Vancouver BC Canada in the 80s and 90s, and worked here for years. When they went back to New Zealand, they took their Mustangs that they had bought here in Canada, home with them. Graeme took his 69 Shelby GT350 and a 71 Mach 1, and Mike a Grabber Green 70 Boss 302. Great guys, and they could really knock back the Fosters Lager!

To try and answer Rory. I believe a small handful (150 or so) of 65 Mustangs were converted, not sure by who and sold through Ford dealers. All the other 'old' ones here are private imports. Fairlanes were imported in small numbers (maybe even CKD) ending with the 64 model. Aussie produced Fairlanes went on sale from 67. Four doors only. F100's were factory RHD some built here and common place through the 60's to 80's. I don't think T-Birds were ever offered here officially through Ford dealers, but I am not sure. This is not gospel & I know even less about the other makes.
RHD rules were state based and thus different depending where you lived. They have also changed a bit over the years.
