Question is why not buy the correct lifters for the cam you are using? The hydraulic lifter would never hold up to the intended RPM of a solid cam anyhow. On the other hand the hydraulic cam is designed with the intended use of steeper ramp for a low to mid RPM power gain between idle and. 6000 RPM. The solid can does.not start pulling till 3000 and runs till the engine comes apart. Both designed for different applications entirely. Not to mention mechanical requires a lot of maintenance and exotic valve train also.....Jon
