Again probably not what you want to hear, but i had one awhile back that was stuck at the block under the intake. I ruined the distributor getting it out. It was a cheap one so no biggie but looking back i should have cut the oil pump drive and pulled it up with the intake , i believe that would have worked. Bad part is there is no way to access where they sick at inside the engine , so it makes it tough to spray or heat etc.

When you do get it out, check the machined hex end of the driveshaft. Some aftermarket shafts aren't machined down enough and the hex jams into the ditzy's receiver. OEM Ford shafts are a good comparison as they have been machined further down the shaft's length.
