New Tunnel Port Intakes
« on: March 18, 2025, 08:05:59 AM »
These are intakes I designed to work with my tunnel port cylinder heads.  They bolt onto the tunnel port intake adapter that fits my heads.  Both my heads and the intake adapter have a port that is filled in at the bottom, resulting in a D shape.  This port shape is carried into the intake manifolds as well.  Pictures of the raw castings for the 4V and 8V versions are below.  It will be 4-6 weeks before I get to start machining these; I have a few intakes for the FE Power cylinder head package to machine first, and then a new batch of tunnel port heads, before I can get to these.  I will post more pictures of these after I get them machined and ready to bolt on.

I also have plans for at least one other tunnel port intake, and maybe two.  I will put a post up in a little while about getting some Autolite Inline four barrel carbs rebuilt, and I would like to be able to test those carbs on a tunnel port engine.  So I am planning to make a tunnel port intake that will mount two Autolite Inlines, as an individual runner manifold.  I also have one request for a tunnel ram intake to go with my tunnel port heads and intake adapter, but with only one person asking for it I don't know if it makes sense to go forward with it.  If anyone else might be interested in one of those, please let me know.
