ATI Flex Plate
« on: July 01, 2021, 08:38:35 AM »
I did do a little searching and there seems to be some confusion about which parts and pieces are needed (Or I am impatient at searching) . When I look it up I get part # 915722 . I need the thing to fit the regular C6 case and an AOD case and this one seems to be it. Am I missing anything or is this what everyone else is using ?

Thanks

As long as the converter bolts up you should be good to go. Make sure the converter snout is engaged all the way into the trans. verify the converter seats in the crank or crank/converter spacer correctly. Check forward/rear movement as you do not want to converted to back out of the pump nor do you want to beat on the thrust bearing.

It's your choice in the use of the word "and" that makes the appropriate response to be: no such O.E. production thing, as the mounting offset is different between the two!      ;)

Now, that's not to say someone somewhere didn't assemble things wrong and get away with it; but this was probably due to the old adage of "two wrongs don't make a right", but it might make it work, sort of, situation.    :o

I would assume the listing is incorrect or there is an add or subtract component (spacer) that is utilized with the appropriate transmission or unique converter required?      ???  Best contact ATI and inquire.      :)

But then, maybe I'm wrong?      ::)

     Scott.

The AOD is modified and takes the regular ole flywheel and has somewhat of a "Special " converter. But I seem to remember reading something on here once that even for the C6 that buying the flywheel alone didnt get it done.
