That is a long haul! How is the heat situation on your feet?

Here's the link to your run today. https://youtu.be/3HaUlYQAcAE?t=6748

Alan, we ran that rounte in DW 2014. It wasn't too back because it was mostly freeway with a high speed limit. But sure was windy that day, Ithink I put the top up.

Good luck at RMW, run hard stay safe!

Yup. I was there, too! The guys I was traveling with(all chebbies) only ran about 55-60 and had to stop about every 80 miles to refuel and cool their cars off plus a couple of stops for repairs so it took us about 11 hrs to get there. The next day I struck out on my own which cut my travel time significantly!

Thanks for the link. So far it has been pretty mild here, in the 80s so interior heat has not been an issue. I think i will make my pass today leaving from pretty much an idle to see what that does. With my current setup it seems the harder I try to launch the worse my 60ft times are.

I'm not an automatic guy, but I think that would allow the converter to "flash" higher, so I think you have the right idea.

Alan I think we run approximately the same times and I do have an automatic and I stab it from an idle. I think that works best for me. My stall is 3000 rpm. Give it a try.

I tried that today and it picked up a little from yesterday but the car slowed by another tenth. The guy pitted next to me said the air was terrible today, though.

I thought the launch looked a bit better, so I was surprised to see it slow down a little. Good luck on your route today.

He must have ran twice. On the first run he was in the right lane, running a '90s camaro. Here's a clip of his run.

Yeah I made two passes. Since this was close to home my good friend and ace tuning guy was there and he made some suggestions on adjusting the carb because it was putting out black smoke almost halfway down the track.
