Blue Thunder intake has arrived...finally
« on: August 18, 2020, 10:00:03 AM »
Well it only took 9 months but I got one. This a good example of why you should never, EVER sell anything. I sold my last ones thinking if I ever decide to go with 2x4s I'll just get another one...WRONG! I think BT has really cut back on their Ford parts production and now it seems like they just do batches and when they're gone they're gone until they do another batch. Now the question is do I have enough time before RMRW 2.0 to get it put on and dialed in.

Why I won't sell either of my real 351C Funnelweb intakes - nearly impossible to replace

I have been looking for one of those randomly while I poke around on Ebay. Wondered how it would work on an FE adapter.

I snagged one from a guy getting rid of it after he bought it from one of the last runs, was happy to get it.  Didn't even have a build in mind, just knew they'd be hard to find going forward, and now building a 462" around it.

Jay tested my 351C Funnelweb on the FE Power intake adapter when he did his big 351C intake test thread, which also included the instructions for setting up EFI. It’s on page 5 of this one:

Barry R got the  New one I traded  for when I got a C7ZX for crazy cheap ($150)
It's in my intake collection picture Upper right), I've already got a LR 2X4 so the BT was way extra.

I dig that 6 x 2 intake !!

I may use the 3 x 2 intake with the WW carbs I got from you on my 65

Have various thickness sheet aluminium, contemplating an oval air filter

Ricky: I do have a Edelbrock 3X2 with WW carbs. Got the setup probably 25 years ago in Michigan. The carbs are set up positive not progressive. It's just a discussion piece. I've only got $200 into it.
Richard

Now back to on topic BT 2X4 medium riser has arrived.

Richard,
What is t his intake?

I have never seen one with a carburetor flange with the bolts locations not symmetrical.

The manifold pictured is for a Latham Axial-flow supercharger. The blower bolted to the manifold and the carbs were attached to the front of the supercharger.

Ken is correct. I've also got the Latham blower and mounting parts but missing the carb plenums, those are easy to fabricate.
Top picture is a kind of cobbled up version of what I'm planning and the bottom picture is of mine. Plenums are pretty rudimentary.
