Fall Columbus Swap Meet
« on: January 15, 2020, 08:47:54 AM »
Was looking at Jeff Johnson's website and noticed that he had not posted dates for next years 2020 Ford fall swap meet.

I don't know about you guys, but for me and many people I've talked to - having the swap meet the day after Thanksgiving, on Black Friday weekend and also on the same dates as the Michigan Ohio football games which in alternating years is held in Columbus is tough for most out of town folks to go to - would be better if it was moved forward a few weeks into early November.  Sema is the first week, so the second or third week of November is good.

Just thinking that the Ford club who hosted the event for many years had it on Thanksgiving weekend because they were local to the Columbus area and had that weekend off of work.

Be thankful to still have swap meets. In my area they've gone from about a dozen in the area (Vancouver BC and Seattle) to six in the last decade. The Puyallup Corvette and High Performance swap meet is not on this years schedule. It would usually be about two weeks from now. On the other hand I could not imagine having to drive all the way through and past Seattle on Black Friday!
