I think guys are reading too much into this one. 

That happens a lot on these guessing games. I wonder where some people come up with the numbers.
Stock LR heads and mild cam and compression will keep it pretty tame. I haven't looked at anyone elses guess, but mine is...

Yes sometimes I overthink it but I like to give the big three builders 15 to 20 horse just because there building it (blueprinting and little tricks). Then even though it a hydraulic it is a roller so i like to think 10 to 15 horse there.  Some of these new ring packages are worth 5 to 10 horse. Better carburation and properly curved dizzy.10 to 15. Im not sure how the compression is going to kill it. Single carb 427 stock was 410HP and probably 25 HP underated. That being said I am alittle high.

How about 451 hp @ 5500 with 476 lb-ft of torque?  Uneventful day, clean filter, good power, nice little engine.

Allrightmike and Joe Craine got the closest, within 1 hp.  Unfortunately, Joe went over by 1 hp.

What a nice engine, basically outgunned dual quad 427 from the day with a single 4 and a hyd roller cam...should be a rocket in a Cobra!
