Last roadtrip for the season
« on: October 18, 2019, 05:05:28 PM »
I really love to drive this car, i have used it as a daily driver the whole summer. But this will be the last trip for the season.
Snow is coming and the salt truck with that, i wish they had not started to salt the roads in the 90s before that you could
take it out a nice sunny winter day with out have to wash it for hours. And to those who claim mechanical cams need constant
valve adjustment I'm on my second year on the adjustment i did after breaking in the cam :)

Started out half decent just some light showers

But as we got higher up there was the snow and salt, and to late to turn back

Wow
Nice scenery but I will take my hot Oklahoma weather over 6 months of snow and ice.

I’m sure they have the same stuff up there Heo but there’s this spray that the salt trucks use so the salt doesn’t just eat away at the metal.  Spray it on or mix it with water like a wash. It’s great that she’s running so well for ya. Fun right!

Such a great car Heo.  Glad you got to take it out one more time this season!

Yes that in my ideal salt crusted road! Around here they use some chemical brine they spray on the roads. It seems to be ten times more corrosive than salt. It destroys chrome and polished aluminum in just one outing.

Will find out what it is on Monday Heo. I think it’s made by a company called Rhomar and I think it’s called Neutro-wash.

Heo  my galaxie been in winter storage 1 1/2 month now.
My current home doesn't have garage yet so couldn't stand to sit it in the rain.
Went today to storage to run the engine for while then it sits for winter.
Anyone can tell me why my Holley pulls stupid rich at choke and I mean really stupid rich.

We use Salt-A-Way spray on the vehicles that go to Bonneville each year.  It works pretty well, keeps the salt from sticking on the surfaces and it all sprays off with a hose.
