Joe Reath

I remember Joe and a few others. I wasn't aware that he had passed.  Quite colorful group to say the least. Ed "Isky" Iskadarian always reminded me of Grandpa from the Munsters. I always remember him with that stubby fat cigar in his mouth. I gather Isky is still around.  Joe Reath and Leland from Curtis and Christensen did a lot of work on my engines over the years. INtroduced me to "Fritz", which was huge into the 427 scene and Bonneville. I grew up just a few miles from McDonnell Douglas aircraft.
I can guarantee Randy knows many of the same people. I'm just not ancient yet. LOL I was a youngster about 20 then.  Damn, so much knownlege

I thought the list of who's who was interesting in his Obit.

Isky is still quite active at 98 and still pretty sharp about cams.

That obit is a great history lesson.
A lot of those people still get together for monthly lunches or other events more frequently. They bring Dellie to them to.

Tom:
I haven't been back to CA since the CHP forced medical retirement on me in 2002. It's horrible what has happened to a state that was so beautiful and has the best weather anywhere in the U.S.  Thank God for private health care that has caused so much innovation in the industry. It changed my life so I wasn't just wasting away from my late 30's.
They really are/were great people and most were always willing to share knowledge with a willing ear. The stories and what they got away with was hilarious.
Even CA had their share of "Barney Fife" types in the day.
Damn, I wish for the simpler times. I'm only just over 50.  It's sad what I see.
