1966 Cammer Galaxie again.....
« on: June 18, 2019, 01:54:25 PM »
Found that brief mention of the one off 427 SOHC Galaxie in one of my Ford Performance books.
If I remember I think it was reprinted from a High Performance CARS magazine of late 1966.

Yeah, it was a little over $100,000. The question wasn't if the car existed but if the particular car I saw was the same one identified in the letter. Over the years I have heard about and read about 4 total 65s but three were scrapped as many other automobiles when the testing was done. I haven't looked for the late 80's early 90's article I read yet. It showed pictures of the one Galaxie cammer on display that Ford was moving around and repainting calling a production car. Mr. Rummel said he owned this cammer for the last 15 years.

On the comments below the Hemmings article Martyn Schorr mentions he drove Passino's car and saw Cooper's. That yellow car is neither of those but do we know all the cars that Ford put Cammers in?
I recall a 67 wagon on one of Dennis K's memos.
