Wanted - 68 Mustang Front Fenders in very good condition
« on: April 10, 2019, 09:01:22 PM »
Looking for nice straight original Ford fenders (NOT aftermarket), either side or both, no significant bodywork, dings or tweaks, no rust holes, a little surface rust is OK.  I need 68 fenders, not 67 despite their similarities.  Contact me through the messages here or email me at jayb@fepower.net.  I could pick them up at the FE Reunion, or on the way there or back from the Minneapolis area.  I'd prefer to pick them up if practical, rather than ship them.  Thanks, Jay

- 1964 Ford Galaxie, Drag Week 2009 Winner Modified NA (9.50s @ 143), 585" SOHC

Hey Jay....I went through this on my 67.The repo fenders at the time were horrible.I finally(months) found a pair from down south from one of the network 54 members. He crated them up and sent them to me...Worth every fricken penny..
I have a 68 as well and yes the fenders are "not" the same..
Find some NOS ones or get our southern members to find some....Surely Felony can procure some on one of his walkabouts....
Remember...Ford fenders have a date code around the flange where the fender bolts are...Repo's do not...(lesson learned)
Happy hunting...

I know someone with a mint pair in AZ.
I sent you an email with the details.
He would ship, double box, all that.

I heard repo's didn't fit well so I went as far as welding up all the holes on my 68's to make them look like 67's.

So, no thanks to FElony for stopping what he was doing to check the local C-list for your fenders? See how you are?
