Comet at track
« on: October 23, 2016, 09:04:01 AM »
 You'll see I had a bog but did a 5.91 at 119 with a 1.40 60ft

Backed it up with a 5.93 at 119.6 mph   Couldn't get video to upload off my phone    Al

First day I was able to get down the track, previously had transbrake issues......

Looks great Al! I am glad you got it to the track before old man winter hits. First time out is always a struggle, I think you did great and there is certainly more in it like you said. Keep after it, it takes time to sort things out, you will get there I am sure. I love seeing "show quality cars" at the drag strip actually getting beat on, best of both worlds.

Thanks Thor, it'll get there, have had several small issues you don't know about until you've solved one, and then another shows up, frustrating to say the least. I'm pretty sure I know how Jason (cobracammer) feels, he is a true inspiration...............Al

Al, sorry I didn't get your call the other night. I've been extremely busy lately. I'll PM you my address tonight, so hopefully you'll be able to email them to me and I can post them or upload them to YouTube. Working out some bugs sounds normal, but the car seems to be moving in the right direction. Can't wait to see it!

My apologies to Al for taking so long to get these uploaded. The car sounds great, Al, but these videos REALLY need to be longer! These are just a tease..lol

For those wondering, that isn't a piece of his car coming out from underneath, it's just a piece of trash that was on the track that got blown off as he went by.

Thank You for taking the time to post Doug. I knew they were short but was thankful to have that much, as after that the phone didn't come out. I wanted to hear it go down track under load myself......Next time, I think I have the bog figured out, so maybe this year yet..........Al
