I use CP, as Drew mentioned. We've done some Super Stock 352 pistons that are LIGHT. Also I got a piston approved for Stock Eliminator a few years ago. Heck, I have a whole "long rod" engine here I'd sell. I did it a few years ago and dynoed it at Jay's place. It is a 250 hp 352 combo. It is 9:1 because it was built for Stock class racing. It has Crower billet rods, C4AE-G heads, cast iron manifold, .408 lift, and 112 flat top Autolite carb. It made 370 hp at Jay's with the wrong headers on it. No doubt it would make 400 with the right tubes and collectors........it might even run on 89 octane, lol. I have wondered what it would do with an RPM manifold and a 735 carb, even with the .408 lift. I'd say at least 450.
That intake is flatter than my first girlfriend, and the carb is 470 cfm. I did a Super Stock version of that as well. 550 hp with the Autolite on it. Kuntz had a 750 dyno carb we stuck on it for grins and it made 600. We all cracked up, lol.
