was wanting to run some original valve covers for my 63 that don't have breather holes and not sure if I want to cut up these valve covers for breathers to run my pan-e-vac kit ...... anybody ever run your system from the oil fill tube ???..... if so how did it work out and what breather did you use to fit the fill tube ..... I was thinking of using the oil fill tube and one breather and one hose running to the back of the engine to a Y before going to each header collector , any thoughts appreciated

thanks , Eric

I've never done it, but there's no reason why that wouldn't work.  A crankcase evacuation system is definitely worth some power, so I would give it a try...

Should work fine since it's toward the front of the engine.  If you use the other hole on top of the intake behind the carb,  you will probably get a lot of oil sucked into the exhaust under hard acceleration.

A breather like this one should work:

If you are running an electric fuel pump, you can drill and tap a hose nipple into the fuel pump block off plate, use a elbow on the inside that points down, i can attach a pic later...

that breather looks like it would work .... been running the pan-evac since 1999 but the valve covers I used already had breather holes , my 63 406 valve covers give a lot more room for maintenance but no breather holes

thanks , Eric
