FElony,

I received my Marti report today.  It stated it was delivered with 'styled' steel wheels.  Are the styled steel wheels the ones in the link you shared, above, or in photo of yours?

Thank you!
Joe

The ones in the eBay link. I guess that solves that mystery. I don't have any of those personally; gonna have to figure out who I can mug for a set. Uh, what was your address again?

Does the Marti call out tire info? Would love to see the whole report. I have at least 18 or 20 cars that need reports. I guess I'm going to put Kevin's grandkids through college.

Maybe hit up the Comet forum and see about the color inside the wheels.

Thanks FElony,

The Deluxe report does share the features such as tire size/type.  On mine, the tires supplied were F70-14 Wide Oval Whitewalls.  It also had a glass backlite power top, which I infer that it had glass instead of a plastic window.  The top was one of the items missing when I bought it, but I saw no trace of broken glass or where it might retract.  Hmm, I'll have to dig more into it this fall.

But some details of this build:
-White Power Top w/Glass Backlite
-Glacier Blue Exterior
-Console
-Power Steering
-Blue interior
-AM radio
-Interval wipers
-Electric clock
-GT equipment group
-Tinted Windshield
-Styled Steel wheels

-64 with this paint code
-44 with this paint/trim
-235 with this engine/transmission combo (390-4V, C-6)

The date it was ordered was July 18 1966, built on 9/16/66, sold on 11/2/66.  Dealer was EA Mock and Sons in Eugene Oregon.

My top has disintegrated, but I do believe the glass window is sealed to a perimeter material "frame" that unzips on three sides and lowers for stowing. I did drive this car around in the 80's, so I'm going off memory. Most or all the parts are being repopped now, and should be the same as Fairlanes.

Tach in yours?

My 67 Fairlane vert has a glass back window. It unzips all round (except the bottom of course) to lay down flat although I have never done it. I just drop the top with it in place. No harm done.

Nope, it has the electric clock in the dash instead.  I thought about buying the factory tach from Perogie, buuuuuuut it wasnt worth it to me.

Mine came with the tach. 30 years ago I managed to snare a correct optional Mercury flip-button AM/FM radio for it. Console is busted in half, but fixable.

Homework today: Corky Coker bought out Specialty Wheel and Wheel Vintiques in 2014, opening a 100,000 square-foot facility in SoCal. Hopefully, the complaints about Wheel Vintiques crappy chrome and paint have been addressed. Need to get feedback from purchasers of these products within the last 18 months or so. Coker claims everything made at the new place, so we'll see.

Wowzer, that is a nice tach, but that electric clock makes the car, dont you think  ::)?  I'll be saving my money for a replacement console housing.  If and when I find one that isnt cracked, then maybe, just maybe I'll look again at this tach.  Thanks for the part number (remember: Part # C7GY-17A326A)!

Man, Perogie's changed their website a bunch since the last time I was there.  It looks like most of their stuff is gone from the site, including the tach.  Might be worth a phone call to see if they have it.

They have moved to eBay as their primary marketplace.
