I called our local Y-block enthusiast J.C. and asked him your question. He's not a real "numbers matching" kind of guy so he didn't have a chapter & verse answer but he gave me some info. I also looked in my Holley Carburetor Numerical Listing book.
JC said in 1957 only the 312 with 2-4vs and the "F" code supercharged 312 would have had Teapot Holleys. ( he used the more colorful "Pee Pot" term ) He was pretty sure the single 4v 312 would have used the new 4150 Holleys. He didn't know if there were differences in carbs used on the various engines between regular Fords and the T-Birds, i.e. would a 312 4v in a car have had a different carb than a 312 4v in a T-Bird. He said in 1957 Ford also used the new Carter AFB and the new Ford 4100 carbs on the 4V engines, but that may have just been on 292's. He also said you could get the 292 with a 2V.
All this fits with what I see in the Holley book. They show Holley List # 1272 & List # 1273 for 1957 Ford, Merc & T-Bird with 312.
Holley shows List # 1434 & List # 1437 for 1957 Teapot ( Model 4000 ) on 312 w 2-4v's.
The List # 1272 & 1273 4150 Holley's are closer to 450 cfm I think. I believe the first 600 cfm 4160 was the List # 1850 that was used on the Merc & Lincoln 430's.
