FOUND.....Dana 21 transfer parts

I have a single speed Dana 21 in my 71 F100.  The idler gear, the large one that connects the two shafts, has a few broken teeth

Anyone have parts or a complete transfer?  Anything I can do to put one together out of two would be awesome

When you swapped it, did it take a different output shaft in the NP435 to mate up, or just the transfer and adapter?

The problem is adapting. I can't remember if the output shafts are the same but they both need to extend through an adapter so they may be. However since I was chucking it all I didn't bother to count splines. The info has to be out there somewhere though.
There are two different bolt patterns at the rear of the 435. One is square for the Dana21 TCs. These were for light duty vehicles like our half ton trucks and divorced TCs. They call them the 2 wheel drive pattern ???
The other is more trapezoidal. It has a wider contact surface and was made for heavier duty vehicles (3/4 ton and up).

I got around the adapter problem by finding a 435 with the correct pattern and a Ford style married 205.
Once that bridge was crossed it just fell together (as it should).

Thanks, I was mostly just interested because I had heard the differences.  To be honest, this truck will likely never see 4WD actually engaged, so having a 2 speed transfer is overkill to the overkill of having 4x4 LOL

I'll track one down for parts sooner or later, I have all winter, although I hope it doesn't take THAT long

TOUCHDOWN!  Found a neat shop, Ryan's Auto Parts in Council Bluffs IA.  Its a gear and tranny shop, nice and clean, well organized, but it looks like it was around a long time.  When I say long time, if you told me it was a wooden wheel repair shop in the 1800s I'd believe it.

Had the transfer case parts I needed and does a lot of hot rod gear work, so not only can I get the F100 back together, but I have a good parts supply that speaks racing and hot rod (something rare in the Omaha area)
