#1)
I have two C bellhousings: one with a C and a small 1 next to it, the other a C with a small 2 next to it. Both accept the Clutch Fork that's heild in with the wire clip. Unfortunately I upgraded my 390GTs trans to Big/In Out and original 390GT fork won't work. I have some NOS big-spline clutch forks that all have the tongue type clip. Can I carefully notch the pivot to accept the tongue type clutch fork? or do I have to source a "correct" pivot w/slot and screw with removing rivets etc?..

#2)  With two bell-housings, is it worth it to haul both  bell-housing's to my enginebuilder to assure the best bellhousing alignment?    .......    FWIW my 427s mains have not been align bored. I'm running a Hyd Roller and using a new SFI Steel Wheel - don't need Lakewood.

I had a pressure plate on a small block blow up at about 5000 rpm their is more to let go then the just the flywheel i always run a scatter shield its money well spent.

Wayne my 427's getting a 3.98" crank and hyd roller cam. I want the motor to be a 390GT on steroids with the same points on its power curve and expect to never turn it beyond 5400-5600 rpm. (Jay's GFEIC) Considering I and thousands of other 390GT/428CJ owners ran and often abused the stock FoMoCo cast flywheel and clutch assembly for eons, I'm secure turning a new certified steel wheel, premium clutch assembly with a cast iron bellhousing to moderate RPMs with MSD limiter  .

I can't say if your bell will clock in spec, but my Z bell is right on.
The whole clutch thing though is something you want to do a full
mock up outside the car and have everything fitted to check and make sure it will work.
With all the mix and match stuff your putting in there you may need to do some filing/fitting
to get it working.
Although with the giant hole on the bottom it is easier to see inside.
No so with a steel bell. :P
