connection to a male "ball" header flange. I have a 3" Magnaflow exhaust system I want to weld it to. Supposedly these 2-1/2" ball & socket header flanges are used on 5.0 and 5.8 shorty headers which these Tri-Y's are. But finding them in SS has been difficult with not much more then frustration.
The centers on the bolt holes on these 3bolt flanges are at 3.28". Ideally I come out of the flange at 2-1/2"ID and run a 5"-6" then weld on a 2-1/2" x 3" cone like reducer which in turn will be welded to the cars 3" Stainless Magnaflow exhaust. I'm not happy with an abbreviated "stepped" transition. The cone/reducer has not been hard to find.
Have had a four star nightmare finding a source on this. Since the entire exhaust is Stainless this needs to be also. All I'm after is the 2-1/2" socket assembly.
