intake setups.
« on: July 04, 2015, 09:06:38 PM »

This set up is a little bit of everything. Old school 660's by "wiz bang Bob" with modified venturies, 850 base plates but with the 660 primary and secondary linkage, sheet metal intake plenum adapted to cut 351c tunnel ram runners and previously used on a PSE base but now awaiting its new home on one of Jay's FE power base and kuntz fully prep ed edelbrock heads. The 660's may not live there long but ill at least give them the honor to take a few breaths once everything is back together again. Cant wait for the new base Jay, I'm really looking forward to having a fresh start at matching the intake/base/heads. Lucky my Parker funnel web matches perfectly with my half sheet metal,  half cast so it will be an easy swap back and forth between the two.
I'm just a tad bit excited to get my new base from Jay and my heads back form Kuntz if you guys couldn't tell.   ;D

Nice setup there. ;) Looks like a couple of predator carbs lurking in the background, did you ever run those on anything? Could you post some pics when you get the heads back please?

I did run a predator and I have to say I had good luck with it. Its been several years ago and i have never ran duel predators but there a matched set and id like to at least try them. Prob why I ha vent gotten rid of them. I just rebuilt them and there ready to go. There mounted on a base and would be an easy swap. I like trying odd ball things and once everything is all ready to go id like to try multiple setups on the dyno. I'm just waiting on all my parts to to trickle in so I can start the build. If its OK with everyone here id like to post as I go in the projects section here.

I've heard the predators worked fairly well. Can't wait to see it come together for you. I don't see why you can't keep going in this post when the time comes. It's already in the projects section. I'd say keep a goin'. Good luck with the build. Looking forward to some more details. :D

Here's a good link to some discussion on the predators.  Check it out sometime when you have the time.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. I can remember my dad saying he used a couple a long time ago and they worked fairly well. I'm just stuck on the traditional 4150, 4160, 4500 models.

FYI I'm coming up on your adapter.  Shouldn't be more than a couple weeks...
