Genesis is out of business, but one of the original founders has come back and they are called "SideOiler Garage" and are available from Barry at Survival Motorsports. There is also a new block available from a company called BBM ( Bear Block Motors ) and available from some of the other vendors.

Survival aka Barry R has a "SPECIAL" on right now
on some good looking light weights.
Get'm  well there still wet from the coolant.
Your not going to get a cheaper light weight than that.
I'm getting pretty tempted to sell something and get one. :P

Regarding the pricelist. Since ponds both offers sohc and side oiler and the sohc block need some more prepp i was not shure that the price was the same for both. I guess it is ? Those blocks from bare block motors look pretty nice. have any one some experience with those block ?

It is a outstanding time for the FE.
There are multiple manufacturers producing blocks and heads and everything to build
a complete new FE. And it will be better than anything the factory put out.
You can not go wrong with any of the available blocks.
Although not cheap compared to a small block crate engine, the ability to build a XXX ci FE
with top shelf parts is really just a phone call away.
And the required credit card use. ::)
