Rather than re-write another comprehensive reply, here's a copy and paste response to that very same question that we wrote on another forum. Hopefully it fully answers your question. Of course, if it doesn't, let us know and we will answer your remaining questions as best we can.
"The good news is that they've (aluminum blocks) all been cast already. The not so good news (but not terrible either) is that because of the quantities needed (big), we're experiencing delays from the our stateside suppliers in getting the sleeves and studs to us. We're working diligently on that now, and the blocks will be available as soon as we get the large quantities of sleeves and studs we need to get the blocks finished in the numbers we need.
As evidenced from the pics and text above, the very last thing we want to do is offer you guys the aluminum blocks with only a few available at a time. You have all put up with that from other FE suppliers for far too long. Chevy guys never have to worry about availability; with BBM you no longer will have to be concerned about that either. Those days are gone, and good riddance. Know that when we tell you the aluminum blocks are available, they will be REALLY available, when you want them, and as many of them as you want. You all deserve no less. "
