Just bring it to Barry Rabotnick at Survival Motorsports.  It will be well worth your time and money to have it done right.  Central Michigan isn't that far from Easter PA.

Agree with Mark on Survival.  Barry shipped a fully prepped +.030" 390 block and rotating assembly, no issues.

I'm in extreme northwest PA and it's not like we didn't have a shop, we had a few.  Used to send my stuff to Bob's speed and custom, then Niagara Machine, they're both long gone.

There is a shop here in Erie that I've used recently, Ireland's Machine.  He's done some standard head work for me in the past and I just had him do some stuff for me back in June, but not enough to give a recommendation.  He always seems busy and his shop is full, so he's likely doing something right.  The guy also instantly recognizes the letters "FE", so that's a bonus, but I've never had him prep a block for me.

Guess in the end you'd need a really solid shop to make a recommendation to one of the FE faithful, that's probably why you're getting the short list here.

Jason Ore at 955 Racing in Erie Pa. He cut his teeth on FEs. He straightend a 63 427 block out for me that had bore issues when it was sleeved before I bought it. 814-897-9559
