Anyone run a lenco or liberty on an fe?
« on: September 14, 2014, 05:57:44 PM »
Just a thought, I like the whole multi stick setup on the lenco and the still technically having a manual transmission that leaves on a clutch seems fun.

This is all going to be bench racing for a second so if that bothers you, I'm sorry I'm just trying to get a direction down. I'd love to eventually turn my galaxie into a small tire "modified power adder" class car for drag week either for 2015 or 2016 depending on funds

I know the st1200 is considered a "street transmission" mostly cause it stays in gear and can be  downshifted.

Anyone ever do it with an fe? What kind of clutch/bellhousing setup do you run? So, something custom I'm imagining? I know the trans is crazy expensive but I have a feeling finishing out the clutch/bellhousing of the system could be another 5-10k?

Is there anything else you would trust to complete the drag week tour that you row your own on?

Thanks

I really wanted to run that ST1200 Lenco in my Shelby clone when I first built it, but at that time Lencos were only legal in the Unlimited class.  I don't know how you would do it, but I think its a great idea...
