Admit I did not watch to the end, didn't want to. Gotta wonder what kind of fanatic you have to be to deliberately destroy cars of known value just to "save the planet". Billions of taxpayer dollars spent to turn something worth thousands into a couple hundred dollars worth of scrap.
But this does serve to illustrate a well known fact:
When government dives in we end up with something worth much less than it was. As a bonus or maybe salt into the open wound, we also get the added benefit of having it cost way more than it should
