FE vertex Mag repost
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:27:57 AM »
Accidently placed add in vendor classifieds, Pat Mason built Ronco Vertex mag with blue Taylor solid core plug wires and Moroso mech. tach with tach cable. I said offers but have already been giving grief over not putting up a price. looking for 1000.00 or give me an offer. Let me know what you think its really worth or what you would be willing to pay. Its for sale and not sure whats its worth as I been told widely different amounts. It came with my 427 tunnelport and have converted to MSD system

The "rules" on the other FeForum seem to be mostly unwritten. Jay does have them spelled out here though:

Quote
- The Classifieds Forum is for private individuals to list for sale and wanted ads. Only FEed-relat ads are allowed. A price must be listed for each item advertised for sale; no "best offer" ads.

But he does allow asking the members what people think a item is worth, as long as it's in the classified section, which you did. I agree it's hard to put a price on a vintage item that is fairly unique. Good Luck.

With no slam on Jay's great site, I think you'd do better on E-Bay simply due to a much wider audience. Also, you could set up a opener at say $750 (my estimate) and allow bidders to up the ante to maybe even more than your 1K price. I'd keep in mind too that many streeter FE owners would likely not bid (MSD, etc.) but tribute gasser or A/FX clone car builders would be interested. JMO

Thank you for replying to my post, I'm need as much as I can get from my parts as I'm now starting to fund a complete stroker rebuild. Heads in at Barrys and most likely going to need a complete short block to go with heads.
