Does Arias still sell pistons?
« on: June 17, 2026, 04:09:38 PM »
I am looking at reviving my 427/452 and might need a piston. When I spun a rod bearing the piston top edge contacted the head and right in that area the ring land is maybe .001" tighter. It might be ok but my machinist is rather picky and may reject it. My issue is when I built this motor 22 years ago we used Arias dished pistons p/n E4511017 but when I get on their web site all I see is sport compact stuff and a reference to CP. When I get on CP's website they do not list any pistons for the 427FE. I google map the new Arias contact address and it's just some guy's house. So, I was just wondering if they still make pistons or am I going to have to go with something else?

They are now owned by CP-Carrillo. You could give their tech line a call to enquire.

I emailed them with my piston specs, and they replied back that they do not have or make single replacement pistons of the old Arias design, only new sets. Well, at least I know where I stand.
