Cylinder Head Progress
« on: February 09, 2026, 01:28:48 PM »
Hi all, just a quick update post to keep everyone updated and let you know we haven't taken our foot off the gas with the cylinder head project. We are finally at the point where we are happy with the castings and think we have made all corrections necessary to move forward with production.

The heads pictured here are "pre-production" sets that still have our "Interceptor" branding on them. The final production heads will have factory casting numbers instead. We took the whole day Friday to prepare all these pre-production sets that we have and figure out any tooling that we might need.

Some of these pre-production sets of heads are for us, to do testing and bolt on dyno mules. Other sets of the MR heads will be for sale to people that are OK with a few of the nuances have been updated in the final production versions. I believe all the TP pre-production heads are spoken for already.

Wow! Those look sweet!

Not that I'm in the market for a set of cylinder heads... but...

...I for one would like to have the "Interceptor" moniker on the heads.

Just to freak out the unknowing and wannabe FE "experts" when I lift the hood.

I can hear it now....
"Oh yeah, those are the rare factory Interceptor heads. I got 3 sets just like em at home".

It's fun spreading mis-information among those wannabe self proclaimed "experts".

I'd like to again see the guy that yelled "Nice Pontiac" when I was at the pumps with my 66 Galaxie 500XL.
Pretty funny when it has F O R D in giant letters across the hood and trunk.

I'd pop the hood to show him the "ultra rare Pontiac Interceptor".

Maybe that's not a good thing, spreading mis-information, but anyone that actually knows this stuff won't be fooled.
Every 20 minute job is 1 broken bolt away from becoming a 3 day ordeal.

What do the TP ports flow?

Have you or are you going to flow them with a manifold attached?

I have info on our website page. This stuff is a tad outdated, but it'll give you an idea. Once we get these heads worked through I'm going to completely refresh all this info so it is as accurate as possible. That's just the nature of doing some design tweaking as we have worked through the process.

We 3D printed an intake port with the pushrod tube in the port to simulate the affect of the tube in the way. So the port design we went with factors that in. It's not as big of a cfm loss on the flow bench as you might expect.

We're talking about it. Doing some investigating. The intake has been a common request. Need to see if we can get one made and keep the price in a range that people think is reasonable. We're also continuing to work on our bolt-on rocker arms setup. Trying to drive the cost down on that.

Can you inquire via our website contact form or email address. Being that Jay and us sell similar products I promised him I wouldn't push sales on his website, I only intend on posting info here.
