Tulsa FE's - Sick 66 Drag and Drive
« on: October 14, 2024, 08:40:59 AM »
I'm down in Tulsa for a while for a work project. I haven't turned a wrench on a car since June I think (which is starting to take a toll on me). Saturday my wife and I were walking the dogs and we noticed that the main street was shut off for some reason, we kept walking and stumbled on a real nice car show. I found 3 FE cars, the 3rd on was a '62 Thunderbird that I didn't get a picture of.

Saturday night I realized that the "Sick 66" event would be making it's way through Tulsa on Sunday. We decided to stop by Tulsa Raceway and see what showed up. There was a nice '63 Wagon that was making the drive with all the racers. I also ran into Rich Guido who I've met before. He is from a town about 1/2 way between Calgary and Edmonton. He drives his black GTO down to these events, races them, and drives back home. Nuts. Super nice guy, glad we saw him.

Nice pictures, thanks for posting. Rich sounds like a good candidate for Drag Week...
