Awsome firgure 8 racing! Video!
« on: June 08, 2013, 10:18:23 PM »
Me and the family went out to Raceway Park in Shakopee last night for their friday night of destruction event. There was some really great figure 8 racing - Adam Radiski attempted to pass through the crossroads of doom 50 times without lifting- see what happens in the video! These guys have nerves of steel and unbeleivable skill.

Check it out, I posted the video on youtube: http://youtu.be/mKGHvV9P0Ds

They also had a flagpole race that was pretty crazy -

part 2:  http://youtu.be/5Rrf6GTnU5c

I hope you enjoy the video, Joel

Those took me right back to when I was a kid. We used to go see the flat 8, demolition derby (sometimes the same thing!) and dirt track races every now and then.  Really enjoyed watching your vids, thanks!

I'm disappointed.  I wanted to see the school bus figure 8 racing... :o

I used to go to Islip Speedway in NY and watch the figure 8s. The 1/8 mile Drag Strip was nearly about as wacky: two telephone poles laid on the ground with another pole on top, with waist high fence and 4x4s  was all there was for guardrail.  Where of course you rested your feet as you sat on your cars hood as a spectator ,,,, fast wheelstanding / sideways cars and nitro would have spectators jumping off their hoods.......
