Rear End Axles and Housings
« on: April 05, 2022, 04:50:50 PM »
I'm looking for a source of 9" axles, 31 - 35 spline and or axle housings for my Austin Healey.

If anyone has a complete rear end, 50" - 52" across the axle flanges, I'd be very interested.

I do have someone, local, that can do the housing work, for me for $275.

List your city/state Frank as maybe someone close by has the parts. Shipping that stuff is a bitch $$$ for sure!

It seems that not many must know where to get custom axles so, I thought I'd pass on what I found in my search.

There is Dutchman Axles in Idaho that sells sets, for $310 in any length, up to 41".

Greg,
This was the first sentence in my inquiry:

I was aware of the Strange axles but, they are $650, on my end of the country. I'm retired, with a fixed income so, I need to shop around for most everything and because of that, I don't mind using, good used stuff, either.

I've probably bit off more than I can chew, building both this AH and my '54 Ford, to get things done, in a timely manor but, at 77, I don't have a lot of time left.
