I'm back at the shop. I took my new pushrod length checker out of the tool box and measured the ball and cup. The Cup end is 5/16. My Rocker arms are 3/8. Darn.

We take one of those and lathe the cup down until you have just a "point" for the adjuster screw to catch in.  Use that to measure "bottom of cup".  Makes it easier to remove the adjustable pushrod after setting the measurement - just unscrew the rocker adjuster by a thread and go on to the next one...

I have a friend who has just opened a machine shop shop. Maybe I'll try it. He really just focuses on tiny parts though. He could probably do a pushrod end.

Just make sure you use something to check your pushrod cup to rocker arm clearance.

I drove out to Summit. Brought a new cup end-- along with several other parts!
