Clean, very clean engine and compartment.

Looks like he might be working on the "A-DAP-TOR" to match-up the transmission bell housing to this big-boy!  :-\   If so, I'm not sure as to just how long that transmission would hold up?   ::)

     Scott.

If it's a C-6, about 1 minute warm up time and 3' down the driveway!!!!

Jay, perhaps you could contact this fellow. Who knows, he may have spare parts or more.

Frank, give it a rest. Wouldn't want Jay to kick you off the Forum for being a drudge. Can it and move on, okay?

I don't think they had 9" rears in any 6 cylinder 1960 Fairlane.

Yes, ambition is rampant in Jay's garage! Wow, never thought anyone would revitalize this engine after all this time. IIRC, it did make good power although a tad heavy compared to all-aluminum BBC's (497's, Can-Am). One very cool project! All we need now is a McLaren, Lola T-70 or GT-40 based chassis.

IIRC, long ago we put Norris (?) ductile iron rockers on his 327 SBC in a 1969 'Vette. Nice looking pieces and they were indestructible. I wonder today if some other firm bought them out.

Agree with Brent (as usual) but will add the very best is the relatively new Boss 302 block he's depicted above. Given, that is, you have deep pockets!

The block above is a factory B2 block.

Fixed it.

I don't really care for the Motorsports block.  I'd rather have a Dart.   With the Dart, you get billet main caps, etc.

Didn't know the Dart has billet main caps.

No Rory, not me. But we bought our rail from noted transmission builder Bob Rose of Chicago as a turn-key runner. Found out that famed builder R&B of Kenosha, WI build the chassis. It's possible Rose or even R&B took the car to Mission before we bought it in IIRC late 1976 or so. Had a C-4 worked to high heaven and ran only 2nd and 3rd gear.
