Member Projects / Hey Jay---
« on: August 27, 2013, 03:37:42 PM »
This is a sort of a 'bump'. The 'copy' here is the same thing that's gone down the page, so I'll cut that. I'd forgotten I did this but I was just looking over things.

Hi Jay---

Please look on this as a sort of possible 'burr-under-your-saddle'. There is a post on YellowBullet regarding an unlimited Wedge-powered Duster for Drag Week. I post this in hopes of getting you gingered-up toward a project to show what's possible from the Ford camp. A tube-chassis early Mustang with a 600 inch cammer---built fairly mild---and then with a pair of turbos---each about the size of y'r head---so set up as to make about 50 pounds of boost---would seem to be a formula that might be worthwhile for Drag Week.

Just something to think about!

Non-FE Discussion Forum / Mustang Convertable Question
« on: July 24, 2013, 04:32:18 PM »
I'm sitting with a friend who has a 'toy' '93 Mustang Convert. He is in process of doing a complete restoration for what will be a cruiser. He's stymied by marks on the original top that indicate some padding (rubber of some sort?) that was glued to the top material as some sort of protection from the top frame, and has now virtually disintegrated. Can anyone give me direction to someone who might have a source for this? '93 was the last year when Ford outsourced convertible top installations. TIA!!!

Private Classifieds / 1963 F-100 ICB Pick-up
« on: May 15, 2013, 04:10:57 PM »
Please note that I have moved and must deal with this truck in the next few days. If a solution doesn't present itself in short order, I'll remove the Hot Rod parts listed and scrap the rest. It may not be obvious but all the panels are in good enough shape that nothing needs to be replaced. Some degree of patching might be necessary due to pin holes. I drove the truck off the street into the garage in order to start the front suspension work.

Make an offer!!   Thanx!!

box pick-up truck. This is an (up-dated) rough approximation of the truck that 'Skinny' Fuche ran out of DST. It has MANY miles on it and came from W. Virginia thirty years ago, where it was obviously used for a work-truck. It has a Volare front suspension 'K'-member in it with disc brakes and an Omni R&P as well. It's set-up to take C6 (supplied) or Top-loader and had a 390 in it since the late '80s. Small rust but only patching necessary---no entire panel replacement. Needs floor fixed and associated cab mounts. This truck was running when I pulled it into the garage to do the front suspension. A couple of weekends of work and the installation of your FE engine and it'll be drivable again. Has many hot rod accoutrements. 4.11 9". $4K OBO Call for information or pictures

UPDATE---TRUCK AS IT SETS WITHOUT AFTERMARKET HOT-ROD STUFF---$1500---GOTTA GET IT OUT OF THE WAY---DICKER ON THE HOTROD STUFF.

Private Classifieds / Holley LeMans-type float bowls

SOLD___SOLD___SOLD

For sale---Holley float bowls

NEW Old Stock (never installed) 'LeMans-style' Holley float bowls with nytrophyl floats. Also one spare float. Call or email for photos.

I've been cleaning out the garage and have found some odd items I'll never use. I have NO IDEA as to the  realistic value of these Holley parts but Carl's Ford Parts has the remaining supply of the last batch made and he is pricing them at $120 each and the spare float at $22.00. Somewhere between $100.00 and Carl's price will find me very willing to come to terms with interested parties.

New-in-box---Commander 950 progressive linkage Electronic Fuel Injection carburetor replacement. This package contains everything to convert your four barrel carb'd V-8 engine to EFI, except for the fuel lines. The fuel pump, all the electrics, the instructions and software and everything else, is in the box. I got this to replace the Holley EFI that I put on my truck close to 15 years ago, but never got around to installing it and it has just been setting on a shelf in my garage. After you get it running you'll need a laptop to tune with. All the hook-up stuff is supplied.

Holley told me that this sold for "about $1800.00" when it was superceded about two years ago. The replacement kit costs "well over $2000.00" so when you get this from me you will have paid less than half. Give me $950.00 and pay shipping for about 15 pounds from Metro Detroit to you and get into the 21st Century!
