Thanks for posting (most of) the pictures small enough to see and enjoy.  It's very aggravating to want to view a picture so large that  you have to move to to the right several times.  I like what  you're doing with the carbs Drew.  Keep pictures coming.

No panache for the FE?  That's ridiculous, IMO.  NASCAR winner, LeMans winner, NHRA and SCCA champion, and no panache??  I think the historical significance of the FE far outweighs the flatty, especially when it comes to high performance and racing.  The FE will be around for long time to come...

I agree with Jay 100%.

FE Technical Forum / Re: Will a Magnum T56 or TKO fit a 1964 Galaxie
« on: October 15, 2017, 10:33:47 AM »
I have a TKO600 in my '60 Starliner.  I was able to get it to fit using a big hammer in spots and also shaving down two or three bolt heads on top of the TKO, still leaving enough material to remove them if necessary.  I have a bench seat in my Starliner and the shifter comes up through the floor in the perfect spot.....and I'm only 5' 9"  and keep the seat pulled forward quite a bit.  I like to be on top of the steering wheel.  The Hurst shifter stick doesn't hit the seat with the seat all the way forward. It's been 10 years since I did the install, but I remember having to move the shifter to a forward position on the transmission, which you probably know is possible with several different mounting positions.

Correct me if I'm wrong....but Jay stated the Dustless Blasting process uses ground up glass, not sand.  Maybe he's using the term "sand" but meaning the fine, ground glass, which should not coagulate with water.

I've been lucky enough to race with my two sons, Eric and John.  Eric has the 72 Maverick 363", Jerico and John the '84 T-bird 408 Windsor.  My '61 Starliner had a 482" Pond block, Jerico when I raced it. Retired now.  BTW, I bought the '72 Maverick new and raced it with a Boss 302, toploader in the early/mid '70's.  Have any other father/sons raced together?

Apologies for the blurry video.......inexperienced adult doing the recording. ::)

I refused to pay them.  I now use Postimage.....it's easier and quicker.

My first FE was in a '66 Fairlane GT that I ordered in Oct. '65.  Springtime yellow/black interior, no options but a 4 speed and radio!  Except for the period from 1972 (when I sold the GT) until 1979 (when I bought a R code '66 Fairlane) I've always had one or more FE powered cars to drive, including 406's, 427's, 428CJ's and even two barrel 352's.

FE Technical Forum / Re: Power steering pump question
« on: February 07, 2017, 12:00:59 PM »
I bought a power steering kit from the defunct "Wurth-it Designs" and it uses a GM rack from a Chevy Citation.  No pump included with the kit.  I also wanted to keep the original look for my '60 Starliner so I used a '60 power steering pump and had lines made.  My Starliner originally wasn't built with power steering.  It works with no problem, except at full lock it squeals.  Maybe that's because of the pressure being too high?

Concerning the color combination it is definitely a factory combo.  I was 14 in 1958 and when travelling to my grandmother's house we would pass by a lot that Maher Bros. Ford used to store their inventory. I saw quite a quite a few yellow/grey Fords waiting to be sold to someone.
