+1 on the 304 AMC cap and rotor. It's something I could also use. Did an extensive search of internet auto parts outlets, Summit, Jeg's, etc. and nothing like the small cap, male connectors could be found. Where did you buy yours?

Jack, it's been about 12 years, but I bought the pilot bushing you are looking for at O'Reilly Auto Supply. I also used a truck bell and the deep bushing did the trick. But I could never get the air gap adjusted properly with the clutch until I bought a truck throwout bearing that is used with the truck bell.

"YellowTruck"....I'm with you on MSD quality. I had used their products for years and I bought a new MSD billet distributor and 6ALDigital box about three years ago. Unfortunately for me I didn't install them for two years or more because of difficulty completing the car / engine build. The box failed less than 1,000 miles of use. And being out of warranty I had to take the loss, but I'll NEVER use anything MSD again on my four vehicles. I replaced the MSD distributor with a factory from Faron and no problems since. I'm even using points.....but at my age (75) and the limited driving I do I'll never have to adjust them.

Decades ago when I first attempted to use the plastic alignment tool it was too loose in the pilot bushing. I simply wrapped a few turns of masking tape on the portion that fits into the pilot bushing until it fit snug. Solved the problem, everything lined up correctly. Still works today.

I've bought two sets of the shorty headers in the last 4-10 years. Paid $800 plus shipping for one set and $500 for the second. Both in excellent shape.

For sale: 1961 Galaxie Starliner
BODY: Original rust free floors, Crites fiberglass radiator support, inner fenders, outer fenders, hood, front and rear bumpers and bumper brackets. Chassis Engineering eight point roll bar with swing out driver door bar.
ENGINE: 428 CJ + .030, rotating assembly balanced, BBM heads blueprinted by Blue Oval Performance (spec sheet included), Edelbrock Performer RPM, Quick Fuel 750 carb, Hooker race headers 6205-1HKR, Sealed Power L2303NF forged pistons, Spec brand aluminum flywheel, disc and pressure plate. Comp Cams 282S. Crites aluminum air box with 6" ducts.
TRANSMISSION: Keisler SS700 five speed with .32 overdrive, 700 lb. ft. torque capable, Hurst shifter.
DRIVELINE: Precision Shaft Technologies 3 3/4" carbon fiber driveshaft, 1350 U joints, complete drum to drum Currie narrowed 9", Eaton "Grip Pro" with Strange 4.56 gears, 35 spline axles and 5/8" studs.
WHEELS: Centerline Nitrous billet center aluminum. 15" X 4.5" and 15" X 15".
TIRES: M/T S/R 28" X 6.00R15LT front and M/T S/R 28" X 18:00R15LT
BRAKES: Disc on front and 11" drums rear.
MISC: Cal-Trac bars, springs and shocks. JAZ 16 gal. fuel cell. 3 1/2" exhaust with DynoMax Race Bullet mufflers. AutoMeter guages and tach. Rebuilt front suspension and steering 1,000 miles ago. It was a dedicated drag car (race weight 3275 lbs) until I quit and built this engine and made it street legal with horns, turn signals, head/tail lights, brake lights and wipers. +1 for Autometer. Last year my Autometer Monster with shift light, playback, etc quit working. I bought it back in 2007. Obviously WAY out of warranty. I sent it back to Autometer just to see if it could be repaired. They emailed me back that it couldn't be fixed, but offered to sell me the identical model tach for $85 plus shipping. A deal I couldn't refuse.
