Imagine how noodly your cam must be when you go for the last journal holding it up with just the bolt.  :'(

Small but time and muscle saving tip.  Before removing the flywheel take a paint or magic marker and draw a line between the bolts to the pilot bushing.  When the marks line up on reassembly you are good to go.

Same. I like to pick it up the right way the first time.

And if you end up tool shopping anyway, most hand impact driver sets come with a #4 and will come in handy for door latch screws, all things motorcycle, etc. (or maybe not...looks like #3 is the standard "large" in those sets)

I think we're all old enough to know what hot-button topics are and find someplace to engage in them besides a dedicated FE engine forum.

I appreciate that Jay keeps an non-FE section for light conversation, and thanks for that. I see no reason to abuse it by pretending not to know which subjects quickly become not-light.

Non-FE Discussion Forum / Re: Ammeter guage install

Not to drag it off topic, but did/does anyone market an automotive ammeter with the shunt at the battery and only a low-amp signal to the gauge? I haven't installed one in a car in decades, but that's the only way I'd be comfortable nowadays.

FE Technical Forum / Re: Gauging Interest - Tunnelport Heads

I'd be in for a set of stock-appearing, standard exhaust location and intake fitment, improved chamber/port.

Not sure how small a minority that puts me in, but I'm used to it.  ;D

Paramount Boring...learned that here.  ;D
They did at least some of the TP heads, also.

Edit again: Duh. I read Jay's post and it still didn't occur to me that the electronic flasher doesn't care if you mix bulbs/LEDs. That's surely the simplest way.

I think this horse is plenty beaten, but also fret cutters are great for trimming things flush.

Not to take this further into the weeds...

But I'll also be forever grateful to the 3.8 SC for generating a supply of Eaton M90s available for disposal/afterhours R&D. Otherwise I would have never guessed how rowdy a 200 six can be in a 62 Falcon.

It's been too many years to say with certainty, but I'm pretty sure I did that with no issues last time I ran it.

Just be sure to disable the feed from actual start circuit or add a diode upstream. That's the worst possible time to have your starter kick in.  ;D

I know they make copper caps all the way down to maybe 1/8, so if you didn't mind soldering that in place it might be a cleaner looking option.

This is part of a current Ebay auction, so it'll vanish at some point, but it filled in a couple of gaps for me.

Old thread, I know.  :-\

Ran across this old project on a Pontiac group, and it got the wheels turning again.

Edit: Not sure if they're still making parts, but here was the source - https://www.dcimotorsports.com/products/dci-ram-air-five-parts/dci-ram-air-five-intake-manifold/

Here's the instruction sheet for anyone as easily entertained as I am.
You just don't see bumper jacks mentioned enough nowadays.
