The canton t- pan is used. I am in Connecticut. I think I found a C8AX pan. Just trying to see how they fit in a Fairlane.

I am looking for a deep front sump oil pan and pick-up. I have a Canton T-pan and pick-up if someone wants to swap. I guess the Crites headers are a little close for the T-pan.

Maybe an Oxalic Acid bath?   The 99% crystal powder not liquid. You need a (plastic) tub big enough for the block. It only takes a couple tablespoons diluted in water to work. Leave it in for 24 hrs and the rust turns yellowish. Wipe it off with a soft bristle brush or scrubbing sponge.  Not sure what it would do to cam bearings but it doesn’t hurt chrome or plastic.

The hi-po Carter pump arms have more of a bend than the regular ones. I cannot upload and post the pics of mine.(not computer savvy) I am rebuilding a 4441s X pup right now. You can email me at Gmays79@yahoo.com and I will send them over.

I have 3 Carter X-  pumps. They have different arms than pumps I removed from regular passenger cars/trucks. I can dig one out and post a pic if you want

Thanks Larry. Talked to G-force today. They are sending me the ford retainer. I am aware I have to trim the snout of the input (6.49? I believe?). And yes I have to order 26 spline disc still.

Hello. I am trying to get the car going for the FERR and am ready for the clutch. I have a Lakewood scatter shield and a G-force GF4A. The trans has a 26 spline input (bearing retainer OD is 1.375) do I use a GM fork, change the input and retainer, or does anyone know if they make a retainer with a larger ford size OD.  Thanks

I have a 64 Fairlane 500 that is too rusty to restore but all the trim is straight. I figured I would post here if anyone has or is building a T-bolt clone and needs anything. I will also be heading to the Race and reunion again this year if I can bring anything. Feel free to email (Gmays79@yahoo.com) or call/text 203 592-7565. I can send pics.

AHP is supposed to be a pretty good tig for under a grand. If you go on weldingweb there is a guy (tiger sales maybe?). He backs up everything he sells. My friend bought one and is happy with it. However if you decide to spend more, the HTP 221 is awesome and customer service is second to none.

Mike, that was me who sent you the pics and Sean’s contact info. I believe the date codes were later than what you needed.

Both of my 1968 428 PIs had C8AE with no letter after although they look exactly the same. Wonder why they did that?
Actual Police car engines not Shelby.

Wow. Never really thought straight rods with rod ends would work with a comp plus. Let us know how it works out when you get it in the car.
