Interested in the rocker arm parts if you still have them. Tried to send a pm but just got an error message.

Had a 68 Mustang GT with a 427 TP, 4sp & 4,88 Detroit locker years ago. When the front end came off the ground and would run a 10.80 it made all the aggravation worthwhile.

Can't add any advice for your carbs. I'm interested in how it will run with the "D" cam in it. Had one in a 63 Galaxie years ago. Car was a rocket ship. Meanest sounding (and performing) cam I ever ran. Do you plan on driving it on the street?

The 2 metering blocks, 3440 & 3434 are they still available? Anyone know where I can find them. I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Could they be listed under a different number. The numbers on the ones I've found are longer than 4 digits. Thanks, Dan

Been retired almost 10yrs after working 40+yrs repairing cars & trucks. Was able to move from snowy MI. to AZ. to a house with a good sized shop. The thing I think of most is how did I ever get anything done when I was working. Always busy, I have 3 projects going on now. The thing I like the most is everyday is Saturday and if I don't feel like working or things aren't going right I can just close the door and come back when I want to.

Heat it with a torch, then melt a birthday candle on the shaft so the wax can wick under the gear.  I read the tip on here, or the old forum,  a long time back and have used it many times with success when penetrant has failed.  Good luck
X3. I've used things like Blaster also when I didn't have a candle. It works like a plumber soldering joints. The heat draws in the wax to loosen it.

Don't know where your located, but you can contact Steve the Galaxie guy in Kingman Az. He has a web site at www.64Galaxie.com where it lists contact numbers and other info. I know he has a few consoles around, I traded him one for some other parts I needed.

Years ago after I lunched a 427 in my 63 Galaxie I picked up a warranty turn in 390 shortblock from a 68 Gt Torino. Only thing I changed was I put in a C8AX-C hydraulic cam in it. I used all the 427 upper parts, heads, 2x4 intake and adjustable rocker arms. Took some tinkering with the rocker adjustments but it ended up a trouble free setup. That combo was the most consistent engine I think I ever ran. That big old boat would turn a 13.1 every time. It had no problems turning 10.5 slicks. The only shortfall was I could never get it to run in the 12's. I think life got in the way before I got there.

Ted I made one that uses a LSM sbc tool that bolts down to a piece of flatbar that bolts to the head .It works much better than that Lisle tool .The flat bar bolts to the rocker stand bolt holes and the LSM tool bolts to that . The dummy in me cant post pictures but what I made worked fine for my engine in a shock tower car no less .If you want give me a call and maybe I can help you .678 603 8400 Doug
My old man made one like that way back in the 60's. I agree they work way better than the Lisle one. Still have it in the bottom of one of my tool boxes.

Looking for a set of standard 427 rings myself. They must be made of unobtainium, nothing out there.
