Jim (Dove) should have all those parts available . He normally only takes calls in the mornings but I recently got shafts, stands, end supports and hardware from him to use with a set of POP rockers.

Have you called Jim, he maybe could sell you just the 4 adapters or maybe just change the outboard head studs over to the bolts as those seem to be readily available on e bay.

Never hurts to bring things back up for debate.  Always a chance at a fresh look on things.

Idk. Ill clean them up and I fig $3 each. I know there all in descent shape. There old TRW stock. That's like $45. For all 15..  I'll toss in the two center hung float bowls to if your intrested..
if not I could do the cash instead if you have a # in your head.
Thanks for thinking about it anyway..
I found the two, he thought he had all 3 but searched all over and couldn't find it. Id even take a #3 if need be cause I'm going to align bore the old block anyway.

i wish more tracks would do the open comp style drag racing for us low buck guys that wanna run all out as hard as we can off a pro tree with staggered start and no breakout.

http://northeastopencomp.webs.com/

as well as pro stick racing which is my class of choise and im hoping to be back out for the full schedule next year.

pro stick runs both 1/8 and 1/4 depending on the track.

Here's some good information that you may want to read if you get a chance.

http://www.dragstuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4520

The predators will physically fit either in line or side mount. Smaller footprint than the side hung Holley.  Two matched and tuned predators work really well together and fabricating a linkage is very easy for in line mounting. Id say use a 1" open spacer on a duel plain manifold with the predators though.  Predators seem to really respond to carb spacers on duel plains. I'm not a predator hater and own a few. They worked great for bracket racing and stay consistent.   JMO. We know what that's worth LoL .

No. He hasn't.  He ask if I wanted him to but I can take care of that myself and wanted to keep the cost down some so theres no since in paying for something I can do myself. He should be done with them next week... I'm anxious to get them back and make that decision and get them all back together. I'm leaning  towards the T&D but want to look at a few things first and think about an idea or two of my own..
thanks for all the input guys.. like always its good to bounce things off good people even if you already have your own ideas..

FE Technical Forum / solid roller cam selection
« on: July 23, 2015, 03:09:15 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with    Cam Research,    the ford cam specialist ?  Without having the benefits of testing different cams on a dyno or having a good simulation program whats the best way to chose the very Best cam you can for your particular application. ?  Talk to the cam manufacturers tech and give them all the info possable and let Them make a recommendation ?  Sometimes they make you feel like there just looking in a catalog and putting there finger on something. Maybe talking to custom cam grinders would be better ?  I feel like some of the awesome Fe engine builders would be a better choose but sometimes it seems they also may be just choosing something in general as well and I get there all very busy and if there not providing services directly for you then there not going to be as. Incline to take the time. Maybe be brave enough to post all my specs here and see if anyone has a strong openion of there own.. I'm just throwing it out there. Just fishing. Theres alto of great minds on this site, no doubt about it and tons of knowledge.  I have a cam and have mentioned it to a few guys and what I get in responce is "that should work OK".
I guess what I'm getting at is what's you guys thoughts on the best way to choose the right cam the first time.. ?
