« on: April 09, 2016, 05:29:59 PM »
1969 mustang,4 speed,FE stroker engine, hooker headers,3 inch exhaust,GV. I installed a GV and I had to cut the old H-pipe to make room for the overdrive. I am wondering how far back from the headers I should install the new pipe. Thanks in advance.

Looking for a 14 inch tail housing for a 1969 mustang. The casting numbers that will work are c7or-7a040-a or c6or-7a040-a. Ford made the two housing either way 28 spline or 31 spline. Maybe trade you for a 31 spline main shaft(long) and a 17 inch tail housing(long) number c9or-7a040-a. Thanks for looking

FE Technical Forum / snap in mounting single contact bulb
« on: February 02, 2016, 04:36:57 PM »
I know this is a bit off of the subject FE but it is for a car with a FE engine in it. What I am looking to where would a guy get a snap in mounting plastic single contact light bulb socket. Like for the # 53 or # 57 bulb. I believed the older car had them for the dash lights. I think they were black plastic push snap in 2 wire. One wire is for power and the other one is ground. The socket needs to be plastic with its own ground wire because a metal socket would ground out and not turn off the oil pressure switch. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

FE Technical Forum / Gear Vender (Jay or anybody)

I am wondering if you used your gear vender during drag week at the track? The first gear shift under power? I am still on the fence if I should go GV with the wide ratio 4-speed,3.89 gear which is in the car now or the TKO 600 5 speed. I would like it for some mileage and I think the GV would be a little more fun off of the line with it shelf shifting to 1 high under power. This is for street use only. 1969 Mach 1 Thanks ahead

Member Projects / TKO600 or Gear Vender ?
« on: October 27, 2015, 09:28:07 PM »
What I have is a 1969 Mach1 with a 445 stroker with a Big in and out wide ratio with a 3.89 locker gear and a 28 inch. tall tire. I am wanting to start to drive the car on more road trips then I use to. I am looking for thoughts on what would be the best for a overdrive. As of now my 4 speed shifts fine at 6200 rpm. I seen reports on the TKO not shifting at that rpm, even with the updated work to the blocking rings. True or False? I do know what is all involved with installing the TKO and the gear vender. One question about the GV, will the factory parking brake cable and hardware still work as before like it did with the top loader. Any input or thoughts would be great. Thanks
