I got taking apart what was a 390 standard bore out of a 72 highboy. Heard it run and all that. I think it's a service block after talking to a friend of mine. To the engine builders in here is this thing worth my time or move on.  My plan was pump gas motor for a street car. I attached a pic. I can't figure it out it is not in my books.

that pedal you put in,  I just put the same thing in my dads diamond t truck.  he bought it but I was not impressed with all the side to side play that pedal assembly had.   jmho.  I was thinking that seeing it is a lokar piece it would be better quality.

I have never had an Allison automatic trans but being a heavy hauler with a few million miles under my belt. I would try going to your local Allison dealer that specializes in heavy truck transmissions.  and or just call up Allison and talk to them.  these truck driveline companies are pretty easy to talk to to get answers to these problems.  I had a problem with my eaton my local dealer couldn't figure out so I got ahold of eaton and they helped a lot and fixed the problem talking to me and my local dealer for what it is worth.  good luck on this I am am curious to find out what your issue is.

I bought the 211 auto set which adjusts to your metal thickness and your wire speed.  I just seen the newer updated one a couple weeks ago and it was 1100 buck with the spoolgun and no cart.   I like mine plus you can plug into 110 and switch the end and plug into the 220 for the thicker stuff.  just make your own cart that way you practice with your new welder.

I understand what your saying but me personally my stuff is driven wot at the track its all I know lol.   I am just wondering like I said if the injection system just needed more time to "learn" the engine/ driver  and or is it what it  is. and I agree also on an 11 second car that little bit of loss really shouldn't make a difference.   iam just trying to get some decent opinions before I go buy one.

I have used brad penn lately and I like it,  I used to use belray but my local dealer doesn't stock what I want anymore so I had to switch.  Any one have any opinion on the belray?  I never did have any problems with  it.

I was watching this past weekend engine power did fi tech on dyno.   it really did look easy to hook up.  so I went to their site and dug into installing it and yes it really is easy to hook up,  literally just a few wires,  and you don't need to be college educated to do it. that being said and I know their is proponents of injection on here and I am not picking on it any way shape or form.  but myself being injection illiterate ill call it,  the thing that made me scratch my head was that they swapped injection for a carb and then dynoed and the carb didn't add any torque numbers but it did add about 15 more horsepower if I remember correctly and the hosts of the show honestly had nothing to say they both were surprised,   heck I was too.   So seeing these injection systems are self learning and adjust to the "driver" ill call it. is that just not a surprise on the power to where the injection system hadn't fully learned the driving habits and or was just brand new with no real time running on it?
