Thanks for responding plus bonus pic. Are you saying the arm that attaches to the brake pedal has a heim joint which allows for some flexibility when the master is cocked? I have the Ranger one shimmed currently.

I searched threads here for Wilwood masters and did not see what I need to know. How does their master cylinder fit in a 67 with pentroofs? Car has a 15/16” bore Ranger m/c currently and stops for sh#t. Might try 7/8”. Factory disc set-up with 2.5” drums out back. No booster.
Speaking with Wilwood tech they suggested 7/8” might be the way for me to go. I will confirm my pedal ratio of course but the last time I measured it I thought it was reasonable.

Thanks,
JB

Get the sonic map and post it here for review. They can go more than .040 like JDC’s and have sufficient beef left or they can be .030 over and be sketchy.

Brain challenge executed. I was reeled into a big number due to that CR and cam. Just shows where heads that can really effectively move a lot of mixture make a profound difference.

I spoke with Travis today at Calvert Racing. He can hook me up with some new rear spring sections that should raise the car an inch plus. Nice conversation with him.
I’m at less than 24” now with the 275s. Difficult  to measure accurately off the barn floor. I saw some one inch longer shackle assemblies made for Mustangs on the ‘net. Could augment new rear back sections with those.
Have any pics of the spring mounts you made?

Thanks,
JB

Thanks Dale, when I ordered the split monos I went back and forth on getting the plus two”. Of course I wish I went for two” now. I did not realize it is only the back half that is different so that is an option but the additional one inch of height, ( if it works out that way), probably won’t make me happy. I’m a 70s child so the ass end has to be higher or the whole car has to be high, handling be damned. The front of my car is high due to AC coils and the usual aluminum parts plus a glass hood.  When I see old iron like our stuff slammed to the ground it doesn’t work for me. In the last century plenty of cars around here had shackle kits installed, lol.

My 67 which is a street car currently has Calvert nine way adjustables for time at the track. Car sits lower than it used to with air shocks and I don’t like it. The Calvert split monos in the car had a 1” extra ride height built into them but it is not enough. I checked Allston’s coil overs but that would involve some welding to take advantage of their adjustable lower shock mount. Also considered air lift bags but don’t know if they would fit with 275s that are 7/16” from the leaf or if the air being let out for track is a problem.
I have no problem with the car being lower for track.
I want my cake and then to eat some too.

Thanks,
JB

I sent you a pm concerning parts.

Is that a swinging deal? What is the new price for same parts?
Thanks for posting that.

I like the format here but cannot supply a guess.
An observation however. I will be surprised if you get to your peak hp rpm in the traps. That is a tall tire combined with the 4.11s.
Do you have any data loggers on board besides eyeballs?

Good luck and have fun!

The jobber stores ‘round here don’t keep it on their shelves anymore.
Thanks for tips on where to buy it.

If there was a significant vacuum leak why would it take so long after warm up to manifest itself? Engine would run poorly in advance of warm up IMO or are you surmising a gap grows after heat expansion?
Don’t like to hear about the oil in the intake but you could try something easy and rule out some things. Temporarily disconnect your existing PCV system for some VC breathers. The idea being to get away from pulling any oil into the intake for the short term, ( should your PCV set up be suspect). This is not the cure for the stalling out, just an investigative approach  to the oil accumulation.

Wondering what a split duration cam would do with those heads. The intake/exhaust ratio is .65
I don’t have a theory, looking for opinions.
Was the fuel type indicated?

Nice build,
