Tried drag radials early on. This driver could not make them work with even low rpm clutch dumps. If I had a two pedal car I would try them

Doug, the 10.5s only fit with a rear spring relocator kit and judicious slicing of the inner fender well and the outer inner wheel lip. The outer lip is not rolled, just relieved along with the wheel house trim. On the inside the snubbers and perch were excised back to the inner well. The rims are 15 x 10s with a 5.5” backspace. The Strange housing is 1.5” narrower than stock.

351crules, the trap rpm is 7K and the shifts are at 6800-6900 Peak power is at 6600. Without powershifting the Rs drop bit but have to check logger to see by how much. Engine is tired, not likely 630+ hp at this point. That value came from a fresh build on a numbers friendly dyno.
The rear set up is Caltrac bars with their split mono leafs. Also their 9 way adjustable shocks.

You are in good hands here.

Just get ready, you know what FE stands for, right?

36
That would be awesome Joe. That would double or maybe triple the number of FE powered machines there at one time, lol.

Jared, Quick Fuel might be hiring. You could be in charge of product development.

Warped main bodies out of the box, there is something right there you could make sure doesn’t happen, ( I know they are Holley parts but Quick Fuels might be prone to it also).

I suppose you made the tuned exhaust collectors also?

Nice work as usual.

Dale, the slicks are a 29 x 10.5 Hoosier. D06 compound. Run them anywhere from 13.5 - 12.5 psi. Car is is 3650 with driver and 1/2 tank. I recall you sharing the relationship,( or lack thereof), between mph and ET in the past when I lamented that the car is not quick enough for its mph. Most of that is the driver here.  So I’m looking for help from the equipment, lol. Figured a decent 60’ would at least find me a tenth off the ET.

This trip was the first time out with my Viking DAs in the front. Wheelies are tiny now, front end more under control. The old 90/10s had the car pogoing one through third. I had the rebound setting on 4, then 2. Might try 0, the 90/10s were very good on extension but the compression was laughable on my car.

Thanks much for weighing in.

Joe, it’s Lebanon Valley in New York. Kinda a straight shot out of Western Ma for me, (1.5 hours one way). Next closest track is an hour more, going east instead of west into New Hampshire.

Fortunately there was a rescheduled test n tune Friday. So many rain outs here in the Northeast this summer/fall. Was going to go two other times this month but Ma Nature said forget it.

Managed a new low ET even with a poor 60’. Went 10.68, mph of 125.71. 60’ was only a 1.56. Car has 60’ 1.46. Problem was my line lock was wonky. Only one good burnout all day, car would just slide. The good burnout netted a 1.52 on a different pass.  So I feel car has a 10.5 in it but won’t find out this year.

Nice that you got some end of season hits in! My local track’s last TNT is Friday.

I have some arms. The needle bearing assemblies are frozen from being in a humid environment. I have them soaking, could be freed up possibly

Howie, what’s needed there? Obviously a rocker arm and a shaft. Is the stand okay?

That steady speed A/F is fine Howie. If you are under light load cruising it could be a little leaner too.  You’ll get to tune more after that mess gets cleaned up. Some of those upstream adjusters look mangled. Is that just the camera?
You have some spare Erson parts?
