The slot in the front cam bearing goes to the front to oil the thrust plate right.

The 428 i am doing has rope rear seal i have not did a rope seal for a long time. If i remember rite they had a little pin in the main cap.This one don't have it is it needed if i stay with rope.

I was taking my cj apart and its got a x not c or a on back the guy i got it from said it was a new short block from ford in the early 70s a 391?

Bang shift has a cj mustang flood car ad copart has the car and is taking bids on it.I think i read some place that early 69 mustangs had this style ram air before the shaker if so this is a rare car.

I have a set that i had for years they have been in the house never wet or cold.When i opened the box to use them they have black large spots all over them looks like mold but its not.They are race bearing are they any good some ideas what this is.

Jay you have done a lot of work with the fe when you checked how much oil is in the pan when running. It was very low do you see a tray doing any good.I am building a cj and have the tray but not sure if i want to use it maybe i want the crank to throw as much oil on the flat tappet cam as it can.

I have the money for trick flow heads or a 4.250 crank kit but not both its a 428 now it has a good cam intake and stock jet heads which one will give me the most bang for the buck.

Jay have you tested you intake adapters with a edelbrock scorpion you dont see many of them just torkers.
